Jim Irvin has over 50 years of trial and litigation experience in complex matters: toxic tort, antitrust, professional liability, and discrimination. After graduating from Dartmouth, Mr. Irvin served three years of active duty as a naval nuclear weapons officer. He then attended Vanderbilt Law School, where he was Assistant Editor of the Law Review and a member of the Jessup Moot Court Team. Following graduation, he worked as an associate at Hinckey, Allen, Salisbury & Parsons in Providence, Rhode Island, later moving to New Orleans where he joined the law firm of Milling Benson Woodward, and now LaFleur & Laborde.
Mr. Irvin served as president of the Federal Bar Association, New Orleans Chapter, and as chair of several lawyer disciplinary hearing committees. For many years, he was principal loss prevention partner at the Milling law firm.
